TV rules were very weird back in the day. In addition to couples not being allowed to sleep in the same bed, pregnancy & showing toilets on screen were banned 😂

2022-07-20 22:59:51 +0000 UTCHey Matty! Episode 1 is based on “The Dick Van Dyke Show” from the 1960’s. During that time, couples were not shown in bed together on television. Episode 2 is based on “Bewitched” where the wife is a witch and the husband is an ad exec. The show ran from the ‘60 to the 70’s, and was the first tv program to show a couple in bed together. I can see why you thought it was inspired by The Jetsons — the animated series is also from the 1960’s and Bewitched’s opening credits featured similar animations.
