Only now got around to watching this... oof, I've got some catching up to do. I know the next episodes are out already so I won't be seeing your reaction to this but I want to share this fact nonetheless because how much I love it: If you take the first letter of every episode Hunter interacts with the main cast (Hunting Palismen, Eclipse Lake, Any Sport in a Storm, Labyrinth Runners), you get the word HEAL. A simple yet beautiful nod to what meeting them means to Hunter and how much they've helped him to begin to find himself and recover from his past traumas.
2023-09-25 19:34:34 +0000 UTCI always found Gus the most uninteresting character in the main cast, compared to Luz, Amity, Willow, Eda, King, and even Hunter. No Eda, Luz and King was the best possible decision. It comes with the benefit of giving more screen time to the rest of our main cast. Added with some much needed development for certain characters. Gus feels too easy to trick. If someone tells you to do all their homework, itโs probably a red flag that they donโt care about you at all. And Gus learned that lesson the hard way. There are still issues that Willow and Amity need to confront, with todayโs problem being how Amity sees Willow as the little wallflower who couldnโt summon an abomination properly. Sheโs hardly able to spend time with Willow without Luz, barely getting a chance to see how capable Willowโs become. Willowโs frustration is more than valid. Theyโre both talented. Unlike Amity, Hunter is well aware of how Willow isnโt someone to be messed with. So he sniffed out that guardโs BS of her being scared in an instant. Willow standing up to Hunter is so sweet. It proves that even though things didnโt end well between them in โAny Sport in a Stormโ, she knows that heโs someone worthy of trust.
