2021-05-22 23:31:16 +0000 UTCI guess itโs an unpopular opinion, but I really canโt stand this episode, and itโs aged fucking horribly. Jake is insufferable, but is given a pass by the story because he happens to end up being sort-of right (btw, โyour former cellmate happened to rob a jewelry store while you were confirmed to be in a different stateโ isnโt exactly the slam dunk the show thinks it is). Rosa still has no character beyond โmysteriousโ and โCharles thinks sheโs hot.โ And yeah, the image of a white cop arresting a black man without cause because he โmouthed offโ isnโt exactly a fun punchline. Thankfully this premise essentially gets a redo later on in whatโs probably the best episode of season 5, but thatโs still a long way off. To give credit where due, B99 is able to recognize its shortcomings and evolve pretty quickly. That and all of the Terry stuff is funny as hell.
