Comic Question

Totally agree, particularly your first paragraph. Take your time Buckaroo, subtle moves heightens the expectation, develops the story, and as snazzycool says, you could always throw in a retrospective, or backstory panels.

Take your time Buckaroo. I love your artwork, the character expressions, the details you include that few other artists think about. This could be an epic story, a very rare commodity on the ABDL market. Don't sell your artistic and story telling principles to please everyone else. Do what you think is right, otherwise it won't be a story worth reading, but rather a means to an end that has no real substance, reality, or flare that stands out from all the rest.

You've gotten such great advice from your readers ... so I guess it comes down to subjective taste ... and you can't please everyone. My preference is "less is more"... less detail and background and more action/development. Cheers!

I'm fine with longer drawn out comics. The only thing I've felt is missing for this type of beginning is the answer to why are they moving, but I suspect that'll be answered more as the girlfriend/mommy becomes more involved.

I prefer longer - also hoping there's a male parental type figure as well, even if they don't feature prominently. Maybe an uncle or a daddy to a different little

It can be slow burn but unless you finish a page a week I say if you can post 2 a week but on separate days like Monday and Friday or something like that.

I would say I want a good story I prefer the longer stories that are good not really short little comics that are 1 or 2 pages

Hmm not sure, torn myself, but i suppose at the end of the day nobody can rush you through your artistic process. It should be fine if you mix it with regular posts now and then to break it up a bit.

I think I'm more in the camp of faster-paced but only barely and that's mostly just because I want as much content from you as I can get and for me the story is the the heart of the content rather than the images. I've always been very impressed by your ability to tell larger stories with fewer images.

I like both! I don't think it'll be much of a problem if this one is a little more of a slow burn. Especially since the main character looks to be starting out in diapers. I know this sounds weird, but having him be diapered to begin with goes a long way in keeping me interested! If you're worried about the length, you could always have shorter segments, either comics or pictures, included as auxiliary material. A lot of manga includes things like that, little slice-of-life portions that flesh out characters or show moments that wouldn't normally be touched in the main plot.

As a writer, I’ve learned that when we finish our story for the first time, we have to look back and you’ll see that sometimes we want to embellish but end up creating unnecessary sections, panels or things that could be cut and still deliver the scene successfully. Always go back to your sketches and panels and think how you can cut or change a thing that will have the same punch but faster pacing :)

For sure! And I think once characters get introduced, it'll be a lot easier to quickly piece together new story because you don't have to worry about building the ground work

Thanks for the concern! I hope to not burn out either. If I do, I'll let everyone know and take a break. But I'm hoping I can stay consistent. I was thankfully able to finish my last comic, so here's hoping I can do the same here

I've also seen some that didn't have a consistent schedule and that frustrated me as well. I at least want to do a page a week. I'm pretty dedicated to that

One more thing sorry . But another point in favor of shorter comics would be to save yourself and the the consumer of burnout. I feel im in the minority in this opinion so i just wanna be clear ill love you work regardless

Personally i like short and sweet but don't get me wrong your work is amazing and well worth the wait. I also feel that short straight to the point comics are easyer to digest and enjoy.. Counterpoint haveing a slow comic dose make me very hiped for whats to come and give us a whole story to look back on .

I don't necessarily have a problem with a slow burn pacing and honestly considering the amount of characters that are going to make up Little Valley I think its almost necessary you make the story longform cause the key thing with a story like this is how you balance the individual stories but also how the characters interact off each other cause that's what makes it feel more like a community

This is your story do it as you wish! I dont mind slow burn stories but as long as it dont get to a point that your going to feel burnt out and dont feel like woking on it. I seen many of times people do that with good comics that never get finished because the pace.

I'm personally a fan of long form stuff, but not necessarily slow burn stuff. If someone is reading a work as it's released, I feel they should be forewarned as to what kind of work it is so they can decide if they'll enjoy that work and continue with it. But if they find the work after it's already completed, then no warning is needed. Still, if you feel the comic could use some tightening, then tighten it because I like concise stuff just as much as I like long form stuff.

I really enjoyed your Tim comic. I don’t mind slow burn comics but this one feels a little too slow at least right now. Hoping it’ll speed up as the story continues. And I don’t mind the once a week update. Would enjoy a twice a week update but it all depends on the artist and what they can handle. Either way I am enjoying it and looking forward too the storyline build up.

Well I kinda figured we have a slow start and I’m okay with that. It gives you time to flesh out the characters and give us more content as long as you post a chapter every week I’m satisfied. The thing with most Patreon comics is they sometimes only post a chapter a month and that is torture for me almost as bad as not finishing it or rushing it so as long as you keep up with your schedule that’s find with me

I think you can find a middle point between both. Like, kill those panels that are not making the story progress faster, but also make emphasis on some events that are important and should require the attention it needs. It's all about how you can make the visual aspect go faster but keep the pace of the story in your head.

This is hard to answer, to me it depends on the type of comic. If it's going to be a bit of a short to mid length one then a faster pace is better but if it's a longer on the then the slow burn is better so you can get a better feel for the characters. Since you made this seem like a longer on a slow pace will work just fine. Either way, keep up the great work.

That's hard to answer, lol. It's a question of patience vs. Instant gratification. Big picture, I'd say that slow burns are better in the long run. Especially when you discover a story that's been going on for a while and you can binge it all at once. Faster paced stories are more satisfying when you're eagerly waiting for the next page.

I'm happy with a slower paced story overall as long as you feel you can avoid burning out and dropping it. Little bits of fan service sprinkled in wouldn't hurt either though :)

I agree with Tom, the speed of Tim allowed for you to get more immersed in the story! However I don’t really mind the slow ish burn! Keep up the great work as always :)

I liked the pace in that Tim was posted. But with Tim you always posted a full chapter and now its only 3 pictures... for me it is a bit too slow... :) but i think it will be a nice story :)

I am happy with a slow burn as long as it gets finished. If you have the story planned and the drive to do it then I say go for the slow burn.

Slow burn is great!!! Then again I like to read novels
