I hate February, I really feel like lack of the 2-3 extra days. Early March kicked my ass, like every year, it seems. I had very little time for writing, but I spent a lot of time feeling guilty over it. I always feel like I write soooo damn slowly, even though I do realize that one IF is about 4-5 novels size-wise, but I donโt think the knowledge helps much. ๐ฅด
Also, my graphic tablet decided that it only wants to work as a monitor now, but I already have one, why would I need two! Ugh. Apparently, the model of Huion I have does that, and it kicks the bucket after three years or so, but I am deluding myself by blaming it on the Windows update, because I read that for some people, that really is the case.
It does make me mad regardless because I feel like I wasted all that cash for nothing, so now Iโll be using a much cheaper one, and it takes a while to get used to it (you have to look at the monitor, not the screen like I did with Huion). If you had a similar experience, do let me know. And if youโre thinking of getting a Huion, maybe reconsider the Kamvas ones.
Anyways, progress:
- Chapter 4 of Avulsion is in Early Access right now (or in a second, depending on when youโre reading this devlog), itโll be out on itch next month. I originally wanted to post a new Chapter 5 partial today as well, but I need one more day to add the extra choices, so it should be uploaded later this week instead.
- I am slowly finishing up the last FMO update, the smaller variables are the most time-consuming, but I hope itโll be worth it when you replay with different choices etc. If you want to see how it all looks in Atom, here you go:
And that's only the main branching choices ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญI really do hope you end up enjoying the variations though!

Thank you for letting me know! I did hear about the 3in1 cable as the possible solution, but I am hesitant to give it a try since the cable itself costs more than the new tablet I got ๐ฅด and if it ends up not working either, as it did for the people on reddit etc, I doubt theyโd let me return it. Did it work for you, or did you not try it personally because you had the replacement already? Also, whatโs your replacement if you donโt mind me asking, smth from Huion as well? I didnโt want to risk it with them and got an XP-PEN the XS version as a temporary measure, but everyone and their momma recommends Wacom, so I wonder if I should just bite the bullet and get a Cintiq. 2025-03-18 14:27:12 +0000 UTCI had the same issue with my kamvas pro. Went out and bought a replacement only the find out the 3 in 1 cable itself was the problem! Unfortunately it's not easy to check if that's the problem area since you cant just swap it out with a regular hdmi :'( Keep up the good work! Excited to dive in !
