Don Krieg gets taken care of when we are first introduced to Mihawk, we even see Don Krieg's bounty poster before Mihawk takes him out. For Gin we see Sanji feed him and he warns Luffy about how his captain and crew lost their lives on the Grand Line and how it's a dangerous place.
