I was rewatching this again I agree, it's like they didn't have a clear direction of what they wanted to do with her, and for her to be best friends forever with them this season still feels a bit off after how she treated Jake and I get they were trying to do the whole trauma bonding thing but it wasn't well written enough to garner that type of friendship in my opinion also the characters especially Devon seemed to be very caviler about his mother dying, the best child actor in the show is Lexi and the kid playing her sister. Jake and Devon acting could be improved and I really hate crapping on child actors but maybe as they get older they'll improve.
