Operation: New Skates 🛼

Hi guys! 💖 As I mentioned in the previous post, I set a personal goal for my birthday (next Saturday) 💪 I want to land a specific jump I’ve been working on for a while 🛼🥺

I’ve been training a lot, going to my classes, taking private lessons, and doing my best to improve… but unfortunately, I discovered that my current skates are slightly too big, and the plate is pulling to the left 😩 That throws off my balance completely, especially on the right edge, which explains why this jump has been so frustrating. I simply can’t fully reach the edge I need 🫠

Since skates are expensive, I decided to start a little support campaign to help me replace them 🥺 On OF, I’m using the Goal feature, but since Patreon doesn’t have that option — and I know many of my patronites don’t really like OF — I decided to use Ko–Fi for this instead 💌 On Ko–Fi, I’m keeping the campaign updated with all donations, so we can actually see how far we are from the goal 🙏

💡 Why are skates so expensive?
Because for professional skates, each part is sold separately! It’s a custom setup:
• Boot (reinforced leather, must be very precise in size)
• Plate (mounted separately, influences control and stability)
• Bearings, wheels, toe stops (all chosen based on weight and discipline)
And since I’ll be changing both the size and the plate type, I’ll need to remount everything from scratch 🥺
