For starters- Rough draft 2 for Kagura from Gintama! (I'm sorry I didn't post Rough draft 1)

I was originally just going to have her pigging out as she do and that would be the end of it, but I got a random message from Debuiscool on deviantart wanting to do a collab so basically Debu will be doing a companion piece set in the same scenario involving a really stupid amanto plot to conquer the earth with fattening breakfast cereal. Or something. (Its Gintama ya'll)

My first thought for this image was going to be that Faye intentionally gained weight for some robbery; pointing a gun and saying something like "Some scores are worth going the extra mile..." Maybe that would have been in character but I started thinking about that episode where she went home and the appeal she felt for settling down and trying a normal life. I dunno, that episode was kind of touching so I decided to give her that happy ending.

A quasi-sequel to the Valentines day image. Claire's really taken to the carrots! Although in her hands they seem to have become more of a 'Ranch Dressing Delivery System' than a healthy snack. Her brother's just going to have to chalk this one up as a fail.

3-19-21 Update: Friday Night Fail

So... this isn't done.

My dad took today off to watch basketball and that ended up turning into working on a construction project which I was needed for so the six or seven things I was planning to do today (including this) wound up taking a back seat because I won't be around to help him tomorrow.

Why not? Because tomorrow's my BIRTHDAY and I love you guys but I ain't workin' on my birthday. XD

That said, I am taking some time off from my day-job this ...

3-18-21 Update

Update! I feel like I'm super behind this week on pretty much everything. I had my Tuesday wrecked by a scam on artstation. I figured out what was going on before anything bad happened, but I still wasted most of my day stressing out about it, because, Surprise! I'm an artist who has anxiety issues! Not very original, I know.

Anyway, this will probably not get a proper background but we'll see what I can get done tomorrow. Maybe I just won't color in her brother. XD

3-16 Update

Hey ya'll! My weekend was kind of weird so I didn't get this rough work out as quickly as I wanted but it's here now!

OC work won last week's poll when I was feeling undecided, so we're doing a quasi-sequel to the valentines pic and catching back up with Claire to mark the turn to warm, spring weather! (Meanwhile the weather in my own region IRL goes back to being cold)
Anyway, her brother continues to disapprove of her life choices, things occur. Stay tuned for more updates!

Yeah, SO... This was only going to be one image, but then I had two good ideas for the image? then putting those two together made a 'series of events' and I was like "I guess I should go big for 2K DA watches..." so I had to add some interconnecting tissue and... look; it's not going to have a super good punchline but It will be cute and chonky and that's why we're here.
