I skipped the last month because I didn't have anything worth while to note. This month I had slightly more to share.

Haven't been drawing much lately. I spent most of my time so far working on a horror text adventure game for Halloween. I'll write more about it later this week when I write my monthly report.

I had to use .webp for the single animated image because of color limitation. It should be browser readable, if your native image viewing app doesn't.

The very first early access comic. 12 pages in total.
This is not a reference to "The King and I". I didn't know what to name it as. I half consider going the light novel route of just putting the synopsis as the title. I couldn't think of a good enough sentence so I give up on that idea. In the end, I just named it after the characters that appeared in the comic.

I am dropping game making from my primary focus.
I suspended the Sept billing cycle, to give people time to cancel their pledge.
It is obvious that nothing was being completed on the gaming front. For the last 4 month only comics were being produced. There were a few scrapped prototypes. I showed off one of them (the Waitress). But no progress was made after that.

A short and rather disjointed 8 page comic.
I made this short for the express purpose of testing twitter posting pattern.
Basically posting comic a piece at a time, instead of all in one go. I can't say I see much difference in performance, but I only been running that experiment for 2 weeks. Getting randomly retweeted by popular people yield much greater effect.

This is what I imagine went down between the Pirate Master and Risky Boots off screen while Shantae climbs that stupid palace.

In my head, I tend to imagine these scenes as a movie, where dialog are spoken. So when I started drawing, very often I would ran out of space for text. In this case, simply forgot to leave any space for text.

I don't know why I estimated this to be a 2.5 to 3.5 weeks of work. It made sense to me a month ago, but I don't remember what I was considering at time.
I'm going to cut the poll duration down to 2 weeks instead of a full month and start it 2 weeks later than previously. I think it will be a better work flow if I start thinking about all the comic ideas closer to the time when I would work on them.
I'm also going to start posting these comic onto itch.io, hoping to get more eyes...

The best thing about making plans, is to immediately discard them for whatever flash of inspiration that follows. There are definitely values in discipline, but I am most productive when my interests are sparkled.

It is probably too bold to be starting polls before I even have patrons, but I never let reasonable concerns stop me before.
Each comic idea will feature some animated panels, it won't be all static panels.
If no one voted or I have no patrons by the end date, I'll just pick one myself.
