Edit: A friend pointed out that I should add some black around the eyes, as that occurs naturally. And I think it works well.
Some more lineless style tests. This time not using vectors. I think I figured out some stuff that works a bit better with this one.

I'd been kinda drawing Ryu's bappers smaller over time, likely an influence of Tiger Ryu's handpaw size, as well as my experiments with how I draw his bappers in general.... So I felt like drawing just some big ol' bappers again. Drawn in Procreate. Getting a bit better at it.

I haven't had much time to relax or draw or anything this week as I had planned. But I did manage to do a style test, for a lineless style to be used in an upcoming commission. So there's that, I guess. Had to really rush the wrap up on it though, as family decided I was needed elsewhere.

Related - I found out recently that some people thought ryu lacked fur beneath the clothes. Nope. He's full anthro, only the face is human, since sphinxes have human faces. (he does lack any interesting fur patterns beneath his clothes, though.)
Also, brown paw pads, matching his original ref sheet.

I did more Ryu paw sketches. Just trying to nail down both the look, and the best method of reaching it. Got the 'rock on' gesture kinda (is that what it's called? idk)... don't think 'live long and prosper' would work too well with the style. perhaps with some more tweaking. Thumbs up are questionable.

Have some quick sketches. I wanted to practice giving Ryu's bappers a bit more flexibility and expressiveness when it comes to the individual digits, as opposed to drawing them kind of static with the rest of the paw. Tried a few different things here, some worked, some didn't. Gonna mess around with it more in the future.

Aphantasia can be weird at times. I can't create mental images or feelings when awake, but I can while asleep and dreaming. Rarely when I wake up slowly, there's a few seconds of overlap before it all fades to black.
Also, I'd been intending for a while now, to show original Ryu via flashback or something, since we never saw him at the beginning.

Yes, Tiger Ryu still takes ADHD medication. No, they're probably not as effective due to his bigger size (from what I understand about medication doses, at least).
Pulled out my old dip pens for this one.... Not only did I use the wrong paper which caused feathering, but I really need to replace the nibs and the ink. Neither work properly after a few years of non-use.
