August 30th is International Whale Shark Day! It snuck up on me and because whale sharks are my favourite animal, I've never been so possessed to crank out an OC 😫🙏
They're called Ociel which means "from the sky." Because whale sharks have a starry speckled pattern and I gave them a kind of space-influence (spacefluence? 😆) I thought it was fitting!
I definitely want to draw more of them, especially proper full-body drawings. They're just a little chibi baby for now so ...
Those aren't ears on top of their head, they operate like the antennae of a moth or butterfly 🦋 They're very fluffy and sensitive. And because they already have ears, noses, mouths and hands, having these too makes their senses super heightened.
When you’ve got two comics going, your other comic-less OCs have to take a backseat, but I don’t stop thinking about them! I missed drawing Bellamy and Laurent so much 😫🙏
