Alex was in a makeshift jail, his reputation in ruins, his future uncertain but seemingly grim. Then trouble showed up.
Not a lot to see on the page 65 pencils or inks. I copy-pasted a panel from the first page of Volume 5 "Assimulation" to use as a basis for the last panel of page 65 here to drive home the joke.
We also get to meet Barbara Lamdagan (Eithne's grandma) for the first time.
Metropolis is a sprawling city with varied neighborhoods. This one kind of looks like a part of Galveston, only seedier.

For the asteroid rings, I simply set the boundaries in Photoshop and then rendered the rings entirely using Clip Studio tools.
I've been generally migrating more and more to Clip Studio from Photoshop but I still need the latter for its superior text handling. I also prefer Photoshop's selection tools especially at the penciling stage.

The "special effects" work on the gravity and electro beams are technically 'colors' but without them the inks make no sense.
But at least now Hugo and Murphy know the origin of the missile. Too bad it's in hostile territory.
Meanwhile, Hugo and Murphy have caught up with that second missile that had been diverted thanks to the Martello Siblings. Now they just have to wrangle and closely examine a tumbling, two-megatonne, radioactive boulder.
I love having Hugo and Murphy still being very much in love after five centuries. Some relationships DO last, dammit.

I've been finding some Manga Studio brushes to represent foliage. This one was perhaps not as successful as others. I put foliage on the inks layer so I can color the other stuff behind them.
