Honestly, I'm as surprised as you are! Certainly not a project I ever expected to undertake! But Genshin were very keen to work with me and after initially resisting I decided to take a closer look to see what could potentially be done with it that would still feel in-keeping with the channel.
Then we found out there was an academy full of professors and bingo. If there's one thing I can do, it's 'some sort of authority figure gives you a lecture in rhyme'...

This was such a stupid idea.
Apparently people love stupid ideas.
The first episode of Unlikely Cyphers took over a year to come together but I could not be happier with the results, both the track and the response to it! It was awesome to get to work with so many other creators who I'd not worked with before, as well as many old friends and returning faces to the channel! A huge thanks to all of them for making this possible, especially to Bonecage for producing the bea...

I finally did it. A short, fun, mini Christmas project that didn't kill me getting it released on time!
The sad fact is, as much as I enjoy making festive content, it has a very limited shelf life! And after years of making steadily more intensive Christmas projects that only get views for a couple of weeks, it was clear I needed to make a change and treat Christmas as a smaller fun side-project for my own sanity.

I'm just gonna come out and say it. I think this is one of the best things I've ever written. At least in terms of sheer lyrical intricacy. I worked and re-worked the lyrics on this one for about 2 weeks before I was finally happy with it! I'm immensely proud of this one!

This was a very tricky song to write. Trying to find that balance of a fun, entertaining and lyrically interesting song whilst also following a direct brief to sing about specific items of merchandise was not easy. I'd be lying if I said I was 100% happy with he result but given the limitations I had to work within I am pretty happy with how this turned out.
